Lenders May Take a While to Get Assistance Programs Up and Running

CNNMoney.com ran a story last week describing how lenders are still not quite ready to implement the Obama administration’s new housing bailout plan.  Here is the full story.

Also, the administration launched a new website so consumers can start to gather information about the programs as well as determine whether a person meets the basic eligibility criteria for the new loan modification programs.  Another feature of the site is that a homeowner can find out whether their loan is owned my Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac - a key to determining eligibility.  Here is that site.
